THE TRADITION OF HIS ANCESTORS
Most of its 80 hectares of vines are Tinto Fino variety, with a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. All the vines are situated in the best terroirs around Olivares and Valbuena de Duero.
In keeping with the wine-making tradition of his ancestors, Carlos Moro decided, in 1988 to renovate the vines, and built a new cellar, where top quality Crianzas, Reservas and Gran Reservas are now being developed.
Located in Olivares de Duero is the quintessential Matarromera single vineyard. This “pago” has an undulating topography, with varying terrain slope and aspect, being predominantly northern orientation. The vineyard occupies a total area of 19.78 hectares, mostly cultivated with Tempranillo on trellises. With such variety coexist 0,69 hectares of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon 1.93 hectares with a planting of 3×1,3. It has localized irrigation and altitude ranges from 730 to 790 meters.
It is one of the most emblematic vineyards of the Matarromera Group. This vineyard is surrounding the Matarromera winery in the municipality of Valbuena de Duero and ascends the hillside. Occupies an area of 7.84 hectares and has different orientations terrain ranging depending on the soils. The variety grown is trellised Tempranillo distributed in a planting of 3×1,3 and has drip irrigation. Planting was done in 1996 and expanded in 2006 and 2013. The altitude ranges from 740 to 795 meters.
Located in Olivares de Duero it is situated on the right side of the county road Renedo-Pesquera. Entirely flat plot of 4.09 hectares situated at an altitude of 730 meters. Planted in 2015 with trellised Tempranillo variety, its frame is 3×1,3 planting and it has irrigation.
It is located in the floodplain of the valley. Vineyard lines extend from the county road Renedo-Pesquera to the river in the town of Olivares de Duero at 725 meters. The cultivated variety is Tempranillo in trellis conduction system type, planting frame 3 x 1.3 (m, m), and drip irrigation. The vineyard occupies a total area of 20.29 hectares, and it was planted in 2006
It is located on the slope of the northern slopes of the Douro Valley. The cultivated area is 5.83 hectares of Tempranillo. The first planting was carried out in 1997 and later additions were made in 2007 and 2010.
PICÓN DE ZURITA
It is located a few meters from the Douro River in the north right bank in the town of Olivares de Duero at 725 meters high. It has an area of 2.86 hectares Tempranillo vineyard of which 0.40 are formed in vase and the rest on trellises. The vase part is the oldest one in the Ribera del Duero region as it has a pre-phylloxera vineyard origin. Trellised part is distributed in a planting of 3×1,3
Planted in 2004, this vineyard is located between the Douro River and the county road Renedo-Pesquera (VP-3001) at an altitude of 730 meters in the municipality of Olivares de Duero. Vineyard lines have a north-south orientation and extend over the plain of the valley. The Tempranillo variety is cultivated on a trellis planting 3×1,3. It has drip irrigation and has a vineyard area of 8.35 hectares.

Planted in 2002 it covers an area of 2.31 hectares planted with Tempranillo variety, trellis frame 3×1,3 planting without irrigation.
FALDA DE LA QUEMADA
Located on the river plain in the municipality of Olivares de Duero, this vineyard was planted in 2014 with a total area of 2.11 hectares. It is located 730 meters above sea level on a completely flat terrain. The Tempranillo variety is grown on trellises, the planting is 3×1,3 and it has drip irrigation.
Located in Olivares de Duero this vineyard is on the plain of the valley of the Douro River at 730 meters. The variety grown is trellised Tempranillo with a planting of 3×1,3 (m, m) and localized irrigation. It occupies an area of 2.34 hectares and was planted in 1997.
It is located close to the Matarromera winery in the municipality of Olivares de Duero at 730 meters. 3,14 hectares vineyard extending between the side of the interfluvial hills and the local road-Renedo Pesquera. The first planting Tempranillo was in 1997, followed by an expansion in 2013. It has localized irrigation and conduction system is espalier type distributed in a planting of 3×1,3

The first planting of 1.11 hectares, is carried out in 2005 followed by an expansion of 0.5 hectares in 2013. It is close to the Matarromera winery. PICÓN DE SAN ROMÁN
With an area of 1.55 hectares, it is located 735 meters high on a mostly flat land, and contiguous to the north side of the Bodega Matarromera in the municipality of Valbuena de Duero. The first planting was carried out in 1994 and recently expanded in 2014. The variety grown is trellised Tempranillo distributed in a frame 3×1,3 planting and drip irrigation.
This vineyard is located in the municipality of Valbuena de Duero. Located in the central plain of the River Douro at an altitude of 735 meters, it covers an area of 5.22 hectares of Tempranillo. The first planting is done in 1994 and expanded with a new plantation of 2 hectares in 2013. The conduction system is espalier type, the planting of 3×1,3 and irrigated. It is sheltered on the north side and west by the limestone hills of greater geographical altitude.
It is located in the upper part of the valley, in the municipality of Olivares de Duero, on a land at an altitude of 795 – 810 meters. It was planted in 2007 with Tempranillo variety, trellis planting, frame 3×1,3 meters, and with no irrigation.
Planted in 2004 it is located on the northern slope of the valley in the municipality of Olivares de Duero at an altitude of between 745 and 765 meters. The variety grown on trellises is Cabernet Sauvignon, located in an area of 2.02 hectares. The planting is 3×1,3 planting with irrigated drip.
Located in the municipality of Olivares de Duero parallel to Valdelosfrailes Ladera vineyard, it has a slight slope facing north and its altitude varies between 740 and 760 meters.
It was planted between 2011 and 2012 with Tempranillo variety trellised on an area of 1.63 hectares. The planting is 3×1,3 with irrigated drip.
